Dog Training, 7 Reasons Why You Should Do It Yourself?

Dog training is a very important part and should be one of the factor that can keep your dog integrated into your life.

Here I present to you 7 very important reason that you should conduct the training yourself:

Reason 1:

Poor dog training resulted in unruly dog which can be a serious nuisance and be destructive to the relationship with its owner.

Effective training is essential for both a pet's and it's owner safety and the quality of life. Would you take the risk of leaving the Training to someone whom may not love your dog as much as you?

Reason 2:

Effective dog training must be consistent.

Effective training starts even while they are still puppies. The problems of leaving them to training school, is that they might be trained by different trainer and this reduces the consistency, which might confuse the dog.

Reason 3:

Effective dog Training must be fun.

Well, can you imagine how fun it is for an employee or trainer in the training school have? When in one day he or she has to conduct these type of Training for more than 5 dogs per day.

You get what I mean don't you? but if you do it yourself, you can make the dog training session much more fun both which will be enjoyed by your dog and yourself.

Reason 4:

Dog training creates lasting bonds between the trainer and traniee.

Since it is your pet, how would you like it to have a better relationship with the trainer instead of with you. This can be disastrous.

That is why there is some cases where robbery occurs and the dogs did not even bark or show any aggression, because the one that enter the house is known to the dogs.

Training him/her yourself can create a much more satisfactory relationship with your dog and thus benefitting for both

Reason 5:

Professional dog training Session is costly and expensive while its effectiveness is very questionable at times.

The cost and frustration of bad training is very very expensive. You have to pay a lot and at the same time it will aggravate the dogs and frustrate you. Do it yourself training cost much lesser and if you do it right, it brings much pleasure and satisfation for the dog and yourself.

Reason 6:

You know your dog better than anyone.

You know when to train them at their most effective moment. When your dog is down with sickness or is not having fun, you will be able to notice them.

A lot of dog trainer may not be able to notice them as they are just doing their job. In addition to that, since your dog will be one of your best company,

Conducting training by yourself will set your dogs to be familiarise with your habit and the environment and places you have in your life.

This will be a much fulfilling experience for both the dogs and the owners. While in training school, your dog will only be confined to one or few common area of training.

When you bring the dog back home, you will still need to train him to the environment of your life. Isn't it a waste?

Reason 7:

Effective dog training do closely related on the condition of the trainer during the training Sessions.

You as trainer know your own condition during the training better than anyone. If you are not feeling well or not in the mood for training because of some personal problem that happens in your life.

Then you can choose not to train your dogs during such situation. What about when those trainer in the training school. When they are facing problem at home. Do they still need to train your dog? yes definitely ….

Do you think it will be effective and good for your dog?

So that's it, The 7 reason, dog training, why you should do it yourself?

One fatal misconception that most dog owner have, is: It is difficult to conduct the dog training yourself….

Let me tell you that it is not as much difficult and troublesome as taking your dog to some training school.

It is much worth the the risk in dog training yourself than leave it to people whom you may never know what they instill in your dog while training them.

I've heard critics say that you can't train yourself in a martial art your opinion?
Yes I've heard critics say you can't, but anyway I want to because my parents are constantly at work and it would be hard for them to give me a ride to a Dojo and another reason is because you have to pay $50+ dollars a month.

well you certainly will not get the full experiance if you are just sitting at home watching some cheap instructional video. But it is possible to learn some basics by yourself. If you are into going to tournements, sparring, breaking boards, and other stuff you will have to find the time and the money to make it to an actual training center. It all depends on what kind of martial art you are thinking of taking. I take tea-kwon-doe and have been doing successfully since I was about 11. It takes a while to get up there in the ranks but it is all worth it trust me. ^_^

If you can read then you can learn …Fact !!!!

Problem being you cant and will not correct your mistakes unless you have a one on one teacher ,but through trial and error you can learn some stuff but it is the long route ,but better than nothing.

Your choice on this Best wishes :)***

no you can not learn from books or dvds because you wwill never get techniques right and you can seriously damage your body if you do things wrong to many times. you really need an instructor to fix up your technique and train you properly.

books and dvds are made for people who have already learnt a lot and are trying to train themselves more at home aswell as to help remember katas or other techniques when they get confused part way thru. you shouldnt try to learn martial arts from anything apart from someone who has been trainign for a long time already.

yes everyone says they dont have time etc for a reason to not train. if you really want to train that shouldnt really stop you.

The BIG problem is that you can not watch yourself.

You can't look from every angle to make sure that you are doing it exactly the way it is done in the book / on the DVD.

If you are doing something a bit wrong, you can't objectively judge it and make corrections.

you really can't because you have to learn safety measures for you own safety and you have to work with other students so you can practice and be observed.if you can't go to a dojo, you might go to a ymca.some of them have free classes.I teach at on in florida where i now live.

You can't train yourself even if you use videos or books. Do they train police or soldiers with videos or books? No. They have instructors train them. Videos or books cannot correct your mistakes.

There is absolutely no point, it can improve you slightly but basically it's like watching a martial arts movie and imitating the actors. You really, really need a teacher, theres more to fighting than just techniques anyway there is experience, contact, priniciples, movement…..

In order to actually learn anything you need a partner to work with. Otherwise you will never know if the techniques work on a resisting opponent.
Even with a partner there are nuances to the techniques that are very very difficult to get from books or videos. The best use for books and videos are as supplements to live training, not as your sole means of instruction.
And as a final point once you start buying DVDs and books and equipment you're going to spend just as much trying to train yourself as you would at most gyms. I suggest checking out your local Rec club from a Judo class, or a Wrestling club, or a boxing club. Usually those are very cheap and they are all three very effective.

it depends on you and the material you are watching.

you do need hands on training, but with common sense, things can be learned from mimicking.

And it depends on the fine motor/gross motor skill being learned. gross motor skill is easiest to mimic, though you still need someone to use it against in a training setting.

this is where like minded friends can get together.

I don't discount DVD tuition, but it can't be a total training way. They enhance ability for sure, but be careful of what you watch.

and don't think you are ready until you have actually used it successfully.
